Scarecrow Confirmed To Appear In ‘Titans’ Season 3

Titans has been one of the best offerings from the DC Universe streaming service since its inception. The series continues to expand the lore of the infamous superhero team in a gritty and heartfelt manner. As first revealed during the show’s DC Fandome panel, the team will next travel to Gotham City in season three and come face-to-face with the diabolical Scarecrow.
While no casting information is available at this time, the addition of Scarecrow adds an entirely new layer of fear into the series. Created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, he made his debut in World’s Finest Comics #3 in September 1941. Since then, the villain is the self-proclaimed “Master of Fear”. The ex-professor of psychology in Gotham City uses a variety of experimental toxins to exploit the phobias of his victims. He is one of the most enduring enemies of the superhero Batman. It is likely he has unfinished business with both Nightwing and Jason Todd due to his history with the Dark Knight. Scarecrow was played by Charlie Tahan and David W. Thompson in the television series Gotham and Cillian Murphy in The Dark Knight trilogy.

Scarecrow will join the show’s newest character like Red Hood and Barbara Gordon. Moreover, Full Circle previously revealed that the upcoming third season will air on HBO Max and DC Universe simultaneously.
While the flagship series for DC Universe, Titans has not had the most widespread acclaim that series such as Doom Patrol, Stargirl, and Harley Quinn have had. Both of these shows air on additional channels and services, so perhaps by doing the same with Titans, DC hopes to bolster support for the show.
