‘Doom Patrol’ Officially Renewed For A Third Season On HBO Max

DC’s most bizarre team of misfits will be returning for a new season. Saturday, it was officially announced that Doom Patrol has been renewed for a third season.
The announcement comes as no surprise to fans following the show’s stellar second season. Of all the DC Universe original series Doom Patrol has received the most praise from fans and critics alike, which was only increased now that the series streams also streams on HBO Max. The meta superhero series ended on quite the cliffhanger, so it is nice to learn that the series will wrap up the events of the season two finale.

While this is the first official announcement concerning the show’s third season, a rumor did begin circulating in July that Doom Patrol will film its third and fourth season back to back. As of now, this has not been confirmed by Warner Bros. or the cast and crew, so for now, it remains a rumor.
Currently, there is no word on when production on the new season will begin. It seems likely that with the current state of Hollywood, it could be some time before cameras start rolling.
