‘Mulan’ Will Premiere On Disney+ September 4th With Premium Pricing

Following a string of unfortunate delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the highly anticipated live-action remake of Mulan will finally release next month. Disney has confirmed today during an investor call that Mulan will stream on Disney+ September 4th through a premium access basis that will cost around $30.00. Additionally, the film will release theatrically in some worldwide markets as well.
Users will apparently spend $24.99 to in order to watch Mulan. Disney executives have said they will have another call for investors within the next month to discuss specific details and confirm final pricing. The big breaking news follows the announcement that Disney has now surpassed over 60 million subscribers on the streaming service.

Mulan‘s Hollywood premiere was held on March 9, 2020. Since then, the film has gone through a number of new dates from March to July and August to finally the new September date. The film stars Liu Yifei in the title role. Additionally, Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Gong Li, and Jet Li appear in supporting roles.
In 2018, director Niki Caro revealed that the remake won’t feature any songs from the original film. Instead will feature instrumental versions of the original film’s songs. Moreover, it was recently revealed that Disney is already circling options to explore for a sequel.
