Marvel Studios Has Plans To Introduce Alpha Flight In The MCU

Another classic team of Marvel heroes may be joining the MCU very soon. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios has plans to introduce Alpha Flight in the MCU.
Created by John Byrne in 1979, Alpha Flight debuted in The Uncanny X-Men #120. Alpha Flight was initially created to serve as part of Wolverine’s backstory but has since become Canada’s premier team of heroes. Each member of the team has distinctly Canadian attributes such as Sasquatch, Shaman, and Snowbird.

What makes Alpha Flight joining the MCU interesting is that it could help set up Wolverine’s debut. Logan was a member of the team in the comics and initially helped to develop his backstory as a character. Additionally, several members of the group, such as Northstar, are mutants that could help to set up the X-Men later on.
Richtman did not reveal where fans can expect to see the team pop up first. Marvel Studios has a number of characters rumored to debut soon, so it still may be some time before the group joins the MCU.
