Marvel Studios Has Plans To Introduce Firestar In The MCU

If a new report is to be believed, Marvel Studios may be introducing a classic mutant in the future. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel has a plan to introduce Firestar into the MCU.
Angelica Jones, aka Firestar, first appeared in the 1961 cartoon Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. While created for the cartoon, her first in-continuity appearance was in Uncanny X-Men #193. A mutant, Firestar has the ability to fly, manipulate microwave radiation, and disrupt electromagnetic energy.

While a mutant in the comics, it remains to be seen if the character will be one in the MCU. Currently, none have appeared in the cinematic universe, so if Marvel Studios’ plan is for an upcoming project, Firestar could be the MCU’s first mutant.
Richtman did not reveal when fans can expect to see the character pop up, so for now, that remains open to speculation. One intriguing possibility would be if the heroine made an appearance in the sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home, given her history with Spidey.
