‘Stargirl’ Concept Art Features New Look At Solomon Grundy

With the premiere of DC Universe’s Stargirl drawing closer fans have had a number of early looks at the series. The most recent one has come in the form of Solomon Grundy concept art courtesy of the Stargirl Facebook group.
The character was first introduced in All-American Comics #61 as a late 19th-century businessman who was murdered and was reanimated 50 years later as a hulking corpse with no memory of his past. From there, Grundy went on to cause trouble for many a DC hero and has become a staple villain. Grundy most recently appeared in live-action in the Fox series Gotham, portrayed by Drew Powell.

Solomon Grundy has been spotted in several clips for the series, but until now, fans have not had a clear look at his design. The concept art can be seen down below:
Hailing from Geoff Johns, Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new drama will reimagine Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series.

Stargirl premieres on DC Universe on May 18 and The CW on May 19.
