With the current COVID-19 pandemic, shooting will not begin for quite some time. However, New Line Cinema reportedly places the film as a high priority. The studio likely hopes for the film to be a contender in an upcoming awards season race.
Pugh is fresh off of a highly successful 2019. Her roles in Fighting With My Family, Midsommar, and Little Women made her a household name. The actress will next star in Marvel’s upcoming Black Widow. Moreover, LaBeouf is in the midst of a career resurgence. His 2019 hits Honey Boy & The Peanut Butter Falcon reminded moviegoers what the actor brings to the table when motivated. Furthermore, Chris Pine last voiced Spider-Man in Into the Spider-Verse and will reprise his role as Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman 1984.
