Ryan Reynolds In Talks To Star In & Produce ‘Dragon’s Lair’ Adaptation For Netflix

Ryan Reynolds is quickly becoming one of the most dependable names in Hollywood. His turn as the Merc with the Mouth Deadpool has launched him into the stratosphere and his films remain highly profitable endeavors. As first reported by Deadline, Reynolds is in talks to star in and produce a new film for Netflix based on the popular video game Dragon’s Lair.
Created by Rick Dyer and Don Bluth, Dragon’s Lair originally released in arcades in 1983. The series follows protagonist Dirk the Daring as a knight attempting to rescue Princess Daphne from the evil dragon Singe who has locked her in the wizard Mordroc’s castle. The game launched a media franchise that included several sequel games, short-lived ABC animated series in 1984, and a comic book miniseries in 2003.
