‘Stargirl’ BTS Photo Reveals First Look At Henry Thomas’ Doctor Mid-Nite

While the debut of DC Universe’s Stargirl has been pushed back a week to May 18, fans are not starved for new content. Thanks to Team LJ Supersuits, fans now have their first look at Henry Thomas in costume as Doctor Mid-Nite.
Created by Charles Reizenstein and Stanley Josephs Aschmeier in 1941, Charles McNider first appeared in All-American Comics #25. The character was a Golden Age hero and a founding member of the Justice Society of America. Given the character’s blindness, he is one of the first superheroes in comics to exhibit a physical impairment.

Team LJ Supersuits, the group that designed the series’ costumes, posted a behind the scenes image from the set of the pilot revealing the first look at Thomas in costume.
It looks like Stargirl‘s’ Doctor Mid-Nite has been lifted right from the pages of the comics. The suit looks exactly like it does in the books and is an excellent translation to live-action.
