Joe Knezevich To Portray The Wizard On DC Universe’s ‘Stargirl’

While it was revealed the Wizard would be a member of Stargirl‘s Injustice Society, it wasn’t clear who would play the villain. Thankfully, it seems the actor portraying him has been revealed. According to Lance Ausfresser in the Stargirl Facebook group, Joe Knezevich will play the Wizard on DC Universe’s Stargirl.
The Wizard, created by Gardner Fox and Irwin Hasen, first appeared in All-Star Comics #34 in 1947. A skilled user of magic, the villain’s abilities include illusion casting, Astral projection, Hypnosis, Teleportation and dimensional transportation.
Knezevich has appeared in Netflix’s The Highwaymen and The Librarian III: The Curse of the Judas Chalice. It’s unknown how large a role the Wizard will play in the series, but he will be part of the Injustice Society whose members include Sportsmaster, Brainwave Sr., Solomon Grundy and more. Knezevich’s Wizard will face off against both the Justice Society of America and Brec Bassinger’s team of new heroes.
