Edgar Wright’s ‘Baby Driver 2’ Officially In The Works At Sony

The sequel to Edgar Wright’s hit film Baby Driver seems to be picking up speed. According to insider Daniel Richtman, the film is currently in the works at Sony.
Richtman revealed on his Patreon that Baby Driver 2 is currently in development with Wright returning to write and direct. As of now, the plot is unknown, but it appears many actors from the first film will return.
The star of the first film, Ansel Elgort, will return to play Baby alongside Lily James’s Debora. In addition, John Bernthal, Michael Peter Balzary and CJ Jones will return to play Griff, Eddie No-Nose and Joseph, respectively.

Baby Driver 2 is also casting two new roles, which include the film’s villain and a supporting female role. While details about the villain are not yet available, the supporting female will serve as a foil to Debora. The studio is searching for “an actress with spunk a la Anna Kendrick” for the part.
Production is currently scheduled to begin in the Summer of this year in New Mexico.
