Owen Wilson Lands Major Role In Marvel Studios’ ‘Loki’

Owen Wilson will be making his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Comicbook.com, the 51-year-old actor reportedly has landed a major role in the upcoming Disney+ series Loki.
It’s unclear at this time what role Wilson will be playing. He would be joining Tom Hiddleston, who returns in the titular role. The last time fans saw Loki was after the events of Avengers: Endgame, where the God of Mischief makes his escape in New York City with the Tesseract back in 2012.
Marvel President Kevin revealed that all Marvel Disney+ series will directly tie into the MCU, with Loki factoring into the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. With that being said, Wilson would be eligible to crossover in a future MCU film if the story permits it.
Wilson is best known for playing comedy roles with the likes of Bottle Rocket, Royal Tenenbaums and Wedding Crashers. He has also had his share of dramatic roles in Midnight in Paris, No Escape and Wonder. It will be interesting to see what character he will be bringing to life from the pages of Marvel Comics.

Loki hits the Disney+ streaming service in the spring of 2021.
