New ‘WandaVision’ Set Photos Further Explore S.W.O.R.D.

It was revealed in previous images from the set of Disney+’s upcoming WandaVision that the series would feature S.W.O.R.D, an intergalactic agency from the pages of Marvel Comics. Now, new set photos have revealed a further look at the agency and its facilities.
After images from the set revealed Teyonah Parris’s Monica Rambeau was an agent of S.W.O.R.D., fans were anxious to see how the group would figure into the series. Well, based on these new photos, it appears that they will play a significant role as a slew of their forces were spotted. The images, which can be seen below, feature several vehicles and sets with the team’s logo.
WandaVision may be Marvel Studios’ most ambitious series currently in development with rumors it will introduce characters like Wiccan, Speed and Hulkling while also potentially reviving Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver. The series will explore an alternate reality created by Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, where she can live a happy life with Paul Bettany’s resurrected Vision.

How S.W.O.R.D. will tie into the series is still yet to be explained, but their presence in these recent set photos is interesting. The team was first teased in the post-credit scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home, where it was revealed Nick Fury was working with the Skrulls to build a facility in space. It seems likely they will take the role of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the future of the MCU, so this may be their first foray into that position.
WandaVision will premiere on Disney+ in 2020.
The series stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Paul Bettany as Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis with Kathryn Hahn in an undisclosed role.
