‘Smallville’ Star John Glover Seemingly Joins ‘Lucifer’ Season 5

A DC alum may be making his way to Lucifer. Based on a new set photo, Smallville star John Glover may be appearing in the fifth season of the Netflix series.
Lucifer is currently filming for its final season, and it appears that the series may have added a surprise guest to its roster. Glover, who portrayed Lionel Luthor on The CW’s Smallville, was spotted on set holding a script for the 9th episode.

As of now, Glover’s casting has not been confirmed by, so this is still speculation. However, it is very odd that the actor would appear on set with a script for the series. If the star has boarded the show, he will be joining Dennis Haysbert, who will play the father of Lucifer.

What is also interesting about this set photo is the script that the star is holding. The writers of Lucifer have revealed the titles for the upcoming episodes in the show’s final season save for Episode 9. According to the writers, the title for the episode is a spoiler for the show, but part of the title is visible in this image. As fans will notice, the first word of episode title is “Family,” but the second word is still not visible. This could suggest the episode will have something to do with Lucifer’s family.
The series star, Tom Ellis, most recently appeared in The CW’s epic five-part crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths. The crossover revealed that Lucifer’s earth exists within the wider DC multiverse, which makes Glover’s appearance exciting given he has appeared elsewhere in the DC multiverse.
