An upcoming romantic comedy just received a boost from a few A-list, high-caliber actresses. As first reported by Variety, Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza will appear alongside Kristen Stewart in the upcoming film Happiest Season.
The comedy will focus on Stewart’s character as she plans to propose to her girlfriend, played by Mackenzie Davis (Terminator: Dark Fate) at a family holiday part. However, this romantic gesture maybe thwarted by the fact that Davis’ character has yet to come out to her conservative parents, played by Mary Steenburgen (Step Brothers) and Victor Garber (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow). It is currently unknown what roles Brie and Plaza will play in the film.

Additionally, the cast also includes Ana Gasteyer (Saturday Night Live), Burl Moseley (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and Sarayu Blue (Blockers). Written and directed by Argo actress Clea DuVall, the film will begin principal photography in Philadelphia, PA this month.
Previously, Stewart starred in 2019’s reboot of Charlie’s Angels. Brie can last be seen starring in Netflix’s GLOW while Plaza is best known for her roles in Parks & Recreation and Legion.
