‘WandaVision’ Scene Could Point To A Classic Comic Character

Filming on the Disney+ series WandaVision is currently underway, and they may be prepping for an important scene. According to insider Charles Murphy, a casting call could point to a pivotal moment in the show.
Murphy has learned that a casting call for the series is looking for actors to play parents taking their children trick-or-treating on Halloween. The call also revealed some shooting locations for the show, including one that will take place inside a home listed as “Agnes House.” It was previously reported that Agnes is the name of Kathryn Hahn’s mystery character.
What makes this all that more interesting is that Halloween has played an important role in the Vision and \Scarlet Witch comics. In 1982’s Vision and The Scarlet Witch #1, the heroic couple came to blows with the spirit of Samhain, a demon who was the “eternal embodiment of All Hollow’s Eve.” Wanda eventually defeated the demon by banishing him to his realm, but he returned in 1985’s Vision and The Scarlet Witch Volume 2, #5. In this issue, a pregnant Wanda was trying to summon her mentor Agatha Harkness but was transported to Samhain’s realm. Agatha’s spirit eventually helped Vision to free Wanda and defeat Samhain.

What makes that information relevant to the casting call is that it could suggest Kathryn Hahn is playing Agatha Harkness. The home in which they are filming the Halloween scene bears a striking resemblance to Agatha’s house in the comics. Fans have theorized for some time now that Hahn is Agatha, and this report adds fuel to that theory.
Marvel has done a reasonably good job of keeping details about this series under wraps, so we may not get any official word on Hahn’s character until it premieres on Disney+. For now, though, stay tuned for further updates about WandVision.
