Steven Allerick Joins ‘Snake Eyes’ As Titular Hero’s Father

Best known for playing prominent roles in Jane the Virgin and Rosewood, Steven Allerick has landed his next big role. According to Deadline, the actor will be appearing in Snake Eyes as the father of the G.I. Joe ninja commando.
Allerick recently wrapped up a recurring guest role on Amazon’s The Expanse while shooting ABC’s new show, The Fix.
Paramount Studios is currently in the midst of shooting the G.I. Joe spinoff in Japan and Vancouver, Canada. Robert Schwentke is helming the project while Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Erik Howsam, Brian Goldner, Greg Mooradian are set as producers.

The story follows Snake Eyes, who is on the hunt for his father’s murderer, on a trip to Japan and trains with the ancient Arashikage ninja clan as he attempts to come to terms with his father’s death. Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding will be starring in the titular role. Joining Allerick and Golding are Samara Weaving as Scarlett and Ursula Corbero as The Baroness while Andrew Koji rounds out the cast as Snake Eyes’ brother and enemy, Storm Shadow.
