Harrison Ford Tapped To Star In ‘The Staircase’ Series

Legendary leading man Harrison Ford is coming to television. As first reported by Variety, the Indiana Jones star will star in the upcoming series The Staircase.
Based on the real-life events of the polarizing Netflix docuseries of the same name, The Staircase details the trial of author Michael Peterson. Peterson was accused of murdering his wife and staging the crime scene to look like she fell down a series of stairs. Taking place in 2001, police in charge of investigating the incident quickly suspected foul play.

Ford will likely play Peterson in the series. Antonio Campos (Afterschool) will write and executive produce, with Annapurna Pictures (Hustlers) producing.
This will be the actor’s first major starring role in a TV series. He became a household name following his roles in classic films within the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. He will next appear in The Call of the Wild, a joint venture from Disney & 20th Century Fox.
