‘Eternals’: New Set Piece Unveiled From Marvel Studios Production

Thanks to a new batch of photos from the production of the upcoming Marvel Studios blockbuster, Eternals, another set piece has been unveiled. Images from filming for the Chloe Zhao-helmed movie have revealed what appears to be a bamboo village under construction.
The upcoming movie seems to feature more practical sets than has ever been seen from a Marvel Studios’ production. Director Chloé Zhao has been vocal about her preference for real sets over CGI in the past, an opinion she intends to carry over to her biggest project to date. From the Tomb of the Space Gods to a replica city of Babylon, Eternals is shaping up to be a unique entry to the MCU film catalog.

Based on the location, it is safe to assume the new set piece is part of the recreated Babylon, which was built in Fuerteventura, the second largest of Spain’s Canary Islands. Most of the set images from Eternals have come from the island, although it’s only a matter of time before new ones begin to pop up around the globe as Marvel Studios goes worldwide with their newest franchise.
