It seems that every day we are learning more and more about Marvel’s next blockbuster. Recently, new images surfaced from the set of Eternals, revealing a replica of the ancient city of Babylon. Now, new set photos suggest the film will visit an archeological dig.
The images from the set of the film feature signs of a dig is some sort. What makes these photos all that much more interesting is that this particular set piece is on the same island where they constructed the city of Babylon.

Additionally, it was reported that Kit Harrington, who plays Dane Whitman, aka Black Knight, has landed in Fuerteventura, where these sets have been built for Eternals. Given his character is rumored to be an archeologist in the film, this could suggest he will uncover the city in his work.
Babylon was the capital of ancient Persia, one of the world’s oldest empires. Persia had several gods, and it seems that the Eternals could be stand-ins for them or could potentially be mistaken for the deities. Unfortunately, no actors were on set, but it is exciting to learn some new details about the film.
How do you think an archeological dig could factor into Marvel Studios’ Eternals? Do you believe they have some sort of connection to Kit Harington’s Dane Whitman? Let us know in the comments below!
