‘Superman & Lois’ Series In The Works At The CW Network

With Arrow in its final season on The CW, the network is preparing for life after the Emerald Archer. According to Deadline, The CW has given the green light to start developing a new series, Superman & Lois, starring Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent and Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane.
Superman & Lois will become the second new DC-related show in development at the network. The series will have a standalone pilot instead of The CW’s traditional introduction of spinoffs in one of their existing series.
Late last month, it was announced that an Arrow spinoff series, starring Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy-Rogers and Juliana Harkavy was in development. The spinoff series will be introduced as a backdoor pilot during the final season of the Stephen Amell-led series.

The series will follow Superman and Lois Lane handling the stress and pressures of being working parents in today’s society. Todd Helbing, who serves as executive producer of The Flash, will pen the script. He will also executive produce Superman & Lois alongside Arrowverse veterans Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns via Berlanti Productions.
Hoechlin first appeared in the Arrowverse back in 2016, making his debut in Supergirl. Tulloch was introduced to the world as the famous journalist, Lois Lane, during last year’s Arrowverse crossover, Elsesworlds. Hoechlin and Tulloch will also appear in this year’s annual event, Crisis on Infinite Earths.
