Will Smith is one of the most recognizable names in the world. His success with films like Men In Black, Bad Boys, & Suicide Squad has made him one of Hollywood’s hottest commodities. However, that success started as a history-making rap career. Smith would transition into acting with the ’90s sitcom The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. It is now being reported that a reboot of that series is in the works, and Smith is the driving force behind it.
Originally airing on NBC in the fall of 1990, the series produced 6 seasons. Due to its wide syndication, the show has gathered a large following over the last 20 years. Smith’s production company, Westbrook, Inc., will develop a spinoff of the critically-acclaimed series.
Following the lifestyle change of Smith’s character (also named Will Smith), The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air told the story of a high school kid moving from the hard-knock life of West Philadelphia to a wealthy, upper-class neighborhood in California. Additionally, the show’s theme song is one of the most well-known in television history.
The series is a cornerstone of modern pop culture. From the “Carlton Dance” to the iconic dance set to Sugarhill Gang’s “Jump On It,” the series stands the test of time in the new era of memes and social media.
At this time, little information on the series has been released. However, fans have longed wondered what a sequel series starring Smith’s children, musicians Jaden and Willow Smith, would look like.

Will Smith can be seen next in Gemini Man, in theaters October 11th.
