‘Mortal Kombat’ Has Found Its Shang Tsu & Scorpion

The upcoming Mortal Kombat reboot has added yet another batch of stars to its ever-growing cast. According to Variety, New Line has tapped Chin Han and Hiroyuki Sanada to play Shang Tsung and Scorpion.
Mortal Kombat just recently added Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, and Lewis Tan to its cast. The cast list also features Joe Taslim (Sub Zero), Ludi Lin (Liu Kang), Tadanobu Asano (Raiden), Mehcad Brooks (Jackson “Jax” Bridges), and Sisi Stringer (Mileena).
Shang Tsu first debuted in the original game as the final boss. The character is a powerful warlock and shapeshifter who absorbs the souls of those he defeats to maintain his youth and power. He has set out to conquer Earth in order to build his empire.

Scorpion is an undead ninja warrior who has set out to find revenge against the person who killed him. The classic antihero is a fan-favorite member of the game’s roster, and it has long been a question of who they would find to play him.
As of now, the plot of the movie is unknown other than that it will focus on the massive roster of fighters from different realms in the Mortal Kombat game. Greg Russo has penned the screenplay.
Mortal Kombat hits theaters on March 5, 2021.
