As first reported by Deadline, James Gunn has found his King Shark for The Suicide Squad. Comedian Steve Agee will provide the voice for the super-villain.
Agee has previously worked with James Gunn in 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 as a member of the Ravagers. He is also well-known for his role as Outside Dave in New Girl.
King Shark has long been a member of DC’s rogue gallery. Debuting in 1994, he has been featured in a bevy of DC’s animated films as well as The CW’s The Flash. He is a humanoid shark with superhuman strength, speed, and durability.
James Gunn has written the script for the soft-reboot of 2016’s Suicide Squad. Agee joins a cast that already includes Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, and Idris Elba. Other members of the squad will be played by John Cena, David Dastmalchain, and Daniela Melchoir.
