Todd Phillips’ ‘Joker’ Officially Receives R-Rating For Bloody Violence

One of the most anticipated upcoming films from comic fans and non-comic fans alike is Joker. When the film was announced it was rumoured to be aiming for a rating of R from the MPAA. This, much to the delight of fans, has actually come to fruition.
Now, on the official website for Joker, the film lists an official rating of R for the following reasons: strong bloody violence, disturbing behaviour, language, and brief sexual images.
Joker is already receiving buzz for being one of the best films this year! It could even be in contention for quite a few award nominations if not wins. If that doesn’t excite fans enough, director Todd Phillips said earlier today that a potential sequel could be in the works over at Warner Bros.
