‘Stargirl’ Concept Art Reveals First Look At Yvette Monreal’s Wildcat

Wildcat will be suiting up on Stargirl. A new image may reveal our first look at Yvette Monreal’s Yolonda Montez on the DC Universe series.

Costume concept artist, Gina DeDomenico Flanagan, who has worked on several DC programs including Doom Patrol and Stargirl, recently shared an image on her Instagram featuring concept art for some of her past work, including Aqualad and Ravager on Titans. The post also shows art of a masked-vigilante who resembles Wildcat. Unfortunately, the post has since been deleted, but thankfully we have the image saved.

The suit from the picture looks very similar to Wildcat’s costume in the comics. Recently, we reported that The Fosters actress Yvette Monreal would portray Yolonda Montez on Stargirl.

Hailing from Geoff Johns, Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new drama will reimagine Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series.

Are you excited for the live-action debut of Yolanda Montez? What other second-generation heroes would you like to appear on Stargirl? Let us know in the comments below!

Stargirl will begin streaming on DC Universe in 2020.

The series stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitemore, Joel McHale as Starman, Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan, Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman, Lou Ferrigno Jr. as Rex Tyler, Brian Stapf as Ted Grant with Anjelika Washington, Neil Jackson, Hunter Sansone, Yvette Monreal, Christopher James, and Jake Austin Walker in undisclosed roles.
