‘The Batman’ Will Reportedly Include Catwoman and The Penguin

This week featured the news that everyone has been waiting for. Robert Pattinson is likely to take on the role of the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves’ upcoming solo adventure. However, Hollywood Reporter has just revealed that some classic Batman characters could be joining the fray when Pattinson dons the cowl.
According to the new rumor, Reeves is still hard at work making his version of Batman perfect. With little bits and pieces being changed every day, the script is currently said to feature at least two classic villains.
The first of those villains is The Penguin. Last played by Danny Devito in 1992’s Batman Returns, the character has been a villain fans have clamored to see get a reboot in modern cinema. It should be noted that Josh Gad has constantly teased his interest in taking the character on himself.
While it is not known who the second villain will be at this time, it is also being reported that as many as 6 villains would be making appearances in the upcoming film.

The report, featured in this week’s Hollywood Reporter Heat Vision, also teases that the infamous Catwoman would appear as well. Previously played by the likes of Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry, and Anne Hathaway in a bevy of Batman films, the character has been a staple of The Bat’s story.
