Michael Rooker In Talks To Join ‘The Suicide Squad’ As King Shark

It’s been known for a little less than a year that James Gunn would be at the helm of the next film in the Suicide Squad franchise. However, the last few weeks has been filled with reports of who would actually be comprising the team of misfits. As first reported by The Wrap, Gunn’s longtime collaborate Michael Rooker just might be joining the fray.
According to the original report, Rooker is in talks to portray longtime DC villain King Shark. Of course, a great deal of special effects would be needed to bring the humanoid shark to life.
Joining the likes of Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, John Cena, and Idris Elba, Rooker will be on board a new version of the antihero team. Official titled The Suicide Squad, Gunn’s take on the DC property promises a new take on the ideal of redeemable villains in a world filled with formidable threats.
