Disney Sets Release Dates For Three New ‘Star Wars’ Movies

We won’t be leaving a galaxy far, far away for long. Disney has set release dates for three Star Wars films stretching from 2022-2026. This new trilogy will end the hiatus that Lucasfilm plans for the franchise on the big screen following the release of The Rise of Skywalker later this year. The three new release dates are December 16, 2022, December 20, 2024, and December 18, 2026.

This new set of movies will likely be the trilogy which is currently being developed by Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, which has been rumored to focus on the Old Republic. The other options to fill the dates could be Rian Johnson’s mystery films or a completely unknown project.
