‘Spider-Noir’: First Look At Nicolas Cage In Leaked Set Photos

The Spider-Noir series is really happening, as recently leaked images from the set have revealed the first look at Nicolas Cage as the titular lead. Having originally played a version of the character in the animated Into the Spider-Verse, the star will now bring the character into live-action.

Cage was spotted on set in plain clothes, which makes sense given that his days as a superhero are behind him. His character is wearing a trench coat, which looks very similar to the character’s look in Spider-Verse. The photos can be seen below.

Focused on an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York, Cage must grapple with his past life as the city’s superhero. Spider-Noir is being executive-produced by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, who will also serve as co-showrunners. The duo developed the series with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, who are also executive producing. The series is set to air domestically on MGM+ and globally on Amazon Prime Video.

The series has assembled a rather stacked cast, including Cage, Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Whitney Rice, Abraham Popoola, Karen Rodriguez, Cary Christopher, Li Jun Li, and Jack Huston. Not much is known about each of their roles, but nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how they all contribute to the story of this alternative Spider-Man.
