Geraldine Viswanathan To Replace Ayo Edebiri In ‘Thunderbolts’
One of Hollywood’s most notable up-and-coming actresses has reportedly left Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts, and another young star has filled the role. According to Deadline, Geraldine Viswanathan has been tapped to replace Ayo Edebiri.
Edebiri first signed onto the project in January of last year, but she is now departing the role due to scheduling conflicts. Whatever her role had been was not disclosed. The young actress has become one of the most notable up-and-coming actresses working today after cleaning up during award season for her role in The Bear.

Viswanathan will now take up the role in the Marvel Studios’ feature. She had her breakout role in the 2018 comedy Blockers and is set to star in this year’s Drive-Away Dolls opposite Margaret Qualley.
Created by Kurt Busiek and Mark Bagley in 1997, the Thunderbolts debuted in The Incredible Hulk #449. Originally presented as a new team of superheroes to replace the Avengers, it was revealed that they were actually the supervillain group, the Masters of Evil, in disguise. Over time, the members would redeem themselves and eventually go through different iterations with various new iterations.
