The first official look at Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3 was released early Monday morning. Now footage from the set has been revealed featuring a fight sequence between Wolverine and Ryan Reynold’s titular anti-hero.
As can be seen in the footage below, the two heroes are fighting each other for some unknown reason. Both are suited up in costume, and it seems the fight will get quite serious.

Additional photos from the set also revealed Wolverine taking Deadpool’s arm and what appears to be a wrecked 20th Century Fox logo in the background. The film is reportedly set to serve as a goodbye to the Fox Marvel Universe, so it seems the movie will play into this with Deadpool’s meta humor.
The highly anticipated sequel not only features the return of Jackman as Wolverine but additionally, Morena Baccarin, Stefan Kapičić, Brianna Hildebrand, and Shioli Kutsuna will reprise their respective roles from the prior Deadpool films. Owen Wilson is also expected to appear as TVA Agent Mobius from Loki, solidifying this film as part of the MCU.
Shawn Levy is set to helm the highly anticipated sequel after collaborating with Reynolds in the past on Free Guy and Netflix’s The Adam Project. A first draft of the movie was penned by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, known for the animated series Bob’s Burgers. But most recently, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the previous two Deadpool films, have worked on the project.
