Jennifer Garner To Return As Elektra In ‘Deadpool 3’

Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3 has just added a surprising star to its cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Garner is set to reprise his role as the sai-wielding assassin, Elektra.
Garner first portrayed the character opposite Ben Affleck in 2003’s Daredevil. She then went on to headline her own self-titled feature film in 2005’s Elektra. While not a box office success, Garner was one of the first women to lead a studio comic book film at the time.

Her return further hints at the rumored multiversal angle of the film. Reports have claimed this movie will feature the return of various 20th Century Fox Marvel stars, including the cast of 2005’s Fantastic Four and Affleck as Daredevil.
The highly anticipated sequel is set to feature the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Additionally, Morena Baccarin, Stefan Kapičić, Brianna Hildebrand, and Shioli Kutsuna will reprise their respective roles from the prior films. Owen Wilson is also expected to appear as TVA Agent Mobius from Loki, solidifying this film as part of the MCU.
Shawn Levy is set to helm the sequel after collaborating with Reynolds in the past on Free Guy and Netflix’s The Adam Project. A first draft of the movie was penned by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, known for the animated series Bob’s Burgers. But most recently, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the previous two Deadpool films, have worked on the project.
