‘Fantastic Four’: Vanessa Kirby Has Current Offer For Sue Storm

The cast of Marvel Studios’ long-anticipated Fantastic Four reboot has long been rumored, with a number of A-list stars among the names. A new report from insider Daniel Richtman has suggested that Vanessa Kirby has the current offer for Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1961, Sue Storm first appeared in The Fantastic Four #1. A founding member of the team, Sue gained the ability to turn invisible and cast force fields after being bombarded by cosmic rays.

Kirby began her career as a stage actress with acclaimed performances in several productions. She is also well known for her roles in both Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. She is set to appear in this year’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Napoleon.

Former WandaVision key director Matt Shakman will helm the film and kick off Phase 6 of the MCU. Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer were previously attached to write the movie, but it seems Marvel Studios is taking the story in a different direction as Josh Friedman, who most recently worked on Avatar: The Way of Water, is now tapped to write the project.
