Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas, & Rachel Zegler Join The Cast Of ‘Paddington In Peru’

The Paddington franchise features two universally beloved films starring a plucky but brave little bear. Now, the third film is finally beginning to pick up steam by adding some significant players in Hollywood. As first reported by Deadline, Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas, Rachel Zegler, and Emily Mortimer are all circling roles in the upcoming feature.
Paddington In Peru will see the return of series stars Ben Whishaw and Hugh Bonneville as they reprise their roles from previous installments. Additionally, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, and Imelda Staunton are all reportedly in talks as well.

The highly anticipated film follows Paddington and the Brown family as they travel to Peru to pay Paddington’s Aunt Lucy a visit. Banderas will play a riverboat captain named Hunter Cabot with Zegler portraying his daughter. Meanwhile, Colman will play The Reverend Mother, a nun who runs a home for retired bears where Aunt Lucy lives. Principal photography will begin July 24th with filming occurring in the UK, Peru, and Colombia.
Olivia Colman is an Oscar and Emmy Award winner known for her roles in films like The Favourite and TV shows like The Crown. Currently, Colman stars alongside Samuel L. Jackson in Marvel’s latest TV series Secret Invasion on Disney+. Antonio Banderas is another iconic film legend who recently voiced the titular kitty cat in the critically acclaimed film Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Rachel Zegler is a blossoming star on the rise with an evergrowing slate of films including Disney’s Snow White and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
