‘Paradise Lost’: Wonder Woman Prequel Series Announced For DC

The island of Themyscira is set to be explored in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Universe. A Wonder Woman prequel series set on the island of the Amazons titled Paradise Lost is being developed. 

Paradise Lost will take place before Wonder Woman’s birth and will serve as an origin story for the island and its inhabitants. Described as Game of Thrones-esque, the series will feature high-stakes drama and political intrigue.

It is unconfirmed if Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will return in this new DC Universe, so this could be a way for the studio to feature a fresh take on the character’s history. No creative team nor casting was confirmed along with the announcement.
