Family Leave is based on New York Times bestselling author Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s book Bedtime for Mommy. The plot follows Jess and Bill Walker (Helms and Garner) as they do their best to keep their family together as their kids grow older and more distant. However, after a strange encounter with a horoscope reader, the entire family wakes up in somebody else’s body. The twist is the body swap occurs on the most important day of each of their lives.
Jennifer Garner won the Golden Globe for Best Actress thanks for her iconic role in the hit TV series Alias. The tenured actor also touts roles in hit films like Dallas Buyers Club and Juno. Up next, Garner will appear alongside Aisha Tyler in the Apple TV+ series The Last Thing He Told Me. Meanwhile, Ed Helms recently starred in and produced Peacock’s comedy series Rutherford Falls. Notably, Helms has been a staple of the comedy genre for the last few decades thanks to memorable roles in The Office, The Hangover, and The Lorax.
