‘Ironheart’: Behind The Scenes Photos Tease Comic Accurate Suit

Production on Marvel Studios’ upcoming Ironheart series is beginning to wrap up, with crew members receiving wrap gifts. And based on one such gift, fans may have a first look at Riri’s final suit in the series.

Ironheart, aka Riri Williams, is a relatively newer character, first appearing in Invincible Iron Man #7 in 2016. She reverse-engineered Tony Stark’s armor and took on the mantle after he fell into a coma after a fight with Captain Marvel. Eventually, after Tony reclaimed the title of Iron Man, Riri took on the name Ironheart and became a member of the Champions.

A member of the #Ironheart production team has shared new wrap gifts!

This gives us our first look at a faceplate for one of Riri’s newest Armors.

The wrap gifts, seen above, feature graphics for two different Ironheart faceplates. The one on the right looks like one of Riri’s suits seen in old set photos. As for the helmet on the left, it does not look like any armor seen in set photos, nor does it look like the armor featured in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Based on this, it seems possible this could be a first look at the young heroine’s final armor in the show, which looks strikingly similar to the one she wears in the comics.

Ironheart is set to star Dominique Thorne as the titular heroine, who will make her MCU debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Created by Chinaka Hodge, the show is produced by Ryan Coogler, Hodge, Zinzi Coogler, and Sev Ohanian, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, and Zoie Nagelhout with Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes directing.

In addition to Thorne, the series also stars Anthony Ramos as The Hood, Manny Montana, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Shea Couleé, and Zoe Terakes. The latter stars’ roles are currently unknown, but perhaps new details will be revealed at D23.
