Harrison Ford Reportedly Joining The MCU As General Ross In ‘Captain America: New World Order’

Earlier this year, the world sadly said goodbye to cinematic legend William Hurt following a lengthy battle with cancer. The actor’s memory lives on through a bevy of memorable turns in films, on TV, and on Broadway. Notably, the actor portrayed General Ross in the MCU, last appearing in 2021’s Black Widow. However, as first reported by insider Jeff Sneider as a part of the Hot Mic Podcast, it appears another film legend will step into the role of General Ross with Harrison Ford joining the MCU.
Per the initial reporting, Ford will make his Marvel debut in the highly anticipated Captain America: New World Order. If the report comes to fruition, Ford would join Anthony Mackie in the cast for the film, which will see Sam Wilson take the mantle from Steve Rogers full-time following the events of Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Julius Onah has been tapped to direct the film with Malcolm Spellman, creator and head writer of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, penning the script with Dalan Musson. Additionally, as first revealed during Marvel’s panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Carl Lumbly and Danny Ramirez will reprise their MCU roles in the film as well. Unorthodox star Shira Haas will also portray the mutant Sabra in the film.
Harrison Ford is one of the most famous names in the history of Hollywood. Thanks to his leading roles in the Indiana Jones and Star Wars franchises, the actor is a household name. Up next, Ford will don the famous hat one more time in the upcoming fifth installment of the Indiana Jones saga. Moreover, Ford will star in an upcoming comedy series created by Brett Goldstein, Bill Lawrence, and Jason Segel titled Shrinking.
