Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again is set to help introduce the Man Without Fear into the greater MCU. The show will reportedly feature elements from the Netflix series and act as a soft reboot. Based on a casting grid provided by insider Daniel Richtman, one returning part could be the villainous organization The Hand.

Created by Frank Miller in 1981, The Hand first appeared in Daredevil #174. An ancient order of evil and magical ninjas, the group is heavily involved in organized crime and other evildoings. The group uses its power to maintain control and serve a primordial demon known as The Beast. They have regularly appeared as adversaries of Daredevil, Elektra, and their mentor Stick.

The casting grid revealed that the series is looking to cast a character named Aleck Wu, who is described as a Chinese American male in his 40s to 60s. Wu has an imposing presence and is an accomplished martial artist who leads a powerful organization. While it is not confirmed if Aleck Wu will be a character in the comics, it seems likely he is a leader of The Hand, given his martial arts abilities and the connection to Daredevil.

The Hand played a significant role in the Netflix Marvel series and appeared in Daredevil, Iron Fist, and The Defenders. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil first took on The Hand during the second season of his series, and they remained a common threat from then on. It is uncertain how much of their story will be retained for the MCU, but it is exciting to think they will be back for Daredevil: Born Again.
