Keanu Reeves Set To Return For ‘Constantine’ Sequel

Warner Bros. is reportedly developing a long-awaited sequel of the cult classic film Constantine. According to Deadline, Keanu Reeves and director Francis Lawrence are both set to return.

Constantine featured the famous exorcist and magic user dying, but in typical Constantine fashion, he tries to save his soul by saving the world from Hell’s demons. The original film was released in 2005 and grossed over $200 million. While it received mixed reactions from critics, it has become a cult classic among fans. Since then, many have long hoped for a sequel, and it seems Warner Bros. has finally decided to move forward with it.

Akiva Goldsman will write the screenplay for the film and produce alongside Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams and Hannah Minghella. Lorenzo DiBonaventura and Erwin Stoff are also on board as executive producers.

Currently, there is no news on what the story will be about, given it is still in early development. But fans can finally look forward to Reeves’ return as John Constantine, the Hellblazer.
