RUMOR: Elizabeth Olsen & Henry Cavill Eyed For ‘House Of The Dragon’ Season 2

Based on a new report, HBO’s House of the Dragon is looking to cast some big names for its second season. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Elizabeth Olsen and Henry Cavill are being looked at for roles.
The Game of Thrones prequel premiered in August and has thus far received positive reviews from critics and fans. Set 200 years before the events of the original series, House of the Dragon follows the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, including the Targaryen war of succession known as the “Dance of the Dragons”.

According to Richtman, this casting is still in the early phases, so it is possible a deal for the actors will not come to fruition. The series recently had some shake-ups as it was announced that co-showrunner Miguel Sapochnik will not return for the second season, leaving Ryan Condal as the sole showrunner.
Elizabeth Olsen recently starred opposite Benedict Cumberbatch as the Scarlet Witch in Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. She will next appear in the television mini-series Love and Death on HBO-Max. Henry Cavill currently stars as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher, which is currently filming its third season. Additionally, he is set to appear next in Enola Holmes 2 and Argylle.
House of the Dragon stars Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Paddy Considine as King Viserys I Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Lady Alicent Hightower, and Rys Ifans as Ser Otto Hightower.
