‘Undead Unluck’ Anime Adaptation Officially Announced

One of Weekly Shōnen Jump’s most recent manga is officially getting an anime adaptation. In the magazine’s newest issue, it was confirmed that a television anime adaptation of Undead Unluck is in production from David Productions.
Written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka, Undead Unluck began serialization in 2020. The series follows Fuuko Izumo, a young girl who dooms anyway to death that touches her due to her unluck ability. After meeting an undead man who hopes to die the best death, the two end up working together, only for their adventures to bring them into conflict with a mysterious organization called the Union.

The adaptation is being helmed by David Production studio, best known for their work on Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Fire Force, and more. A teaser visual for the series was also released and can be seen above.
Undead Unluck is currently scheduled for a 2023 broadcast. As of now, no cast has been announced, but given production has only just been announced, fans can expect news as the show’s debut draws closer.
