Park Seo-joon To Play Prince Yan Of Aladna In ‘The Marvels’

When it was first announced that Park Seo-joon would appear in The Marvels, many were curious about who he would portray. Well, according to insider Daniel Richtman, he will play Prince Yan of Aladna.

Created by Kelly Sue DeConnick and David López in 2014, Yan debuted in Captain Marvel #9. Yan appeared in the comics alongside Captain Marvel during one of her visits to his home planet. During which she objected to his wedding to stop the evil alien Marlo from taking over the planet.

Initially reported by the Twitter user CanWeGetSomeToast it was also corroborated by DiscussingFilm’s Jacob Fisher. Richtman has since reported that he has also heard Park is set to play Prince Yan. It is unknown how large Park’s part in the film will be, but he will likely have a considerable role. The actor is known for his roles in 2019’s Parasite and The Divine Fury, among other projects.

The film features a stacked cast, including Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan. Rumors have suggested The Marvels will serve as a large event-level film similar to Captain America: Civil War. But beyond this, not much is known about the project.
