Marvel Studios’ Loki is currently filming its second season, and several photos from the set have made their way online. One set of images that surfaced Sunday features several references to obscure Marvel characters and the Eternal Kingo.
The images feature several movie posters that reference multiple lesser-known Marvel characters, including Zaniac and the Phone Ranger. Additionally, a different movie poster can be seen advertising for an upcoming film featuring Kingo. In Eternals, Kumail Nanjiani’s character revealed that he has acted for generations, providing an idea of when this scene may be set.

This is also not the first time Kingo has been referenced in a recent Marvel Studios project, as he was mentioned by Kamala Khan and Kamran in an episode of Ms. Marvel. Given the character’s latest namedrops, it could be possible he will pop up in a future project soon.
Based on the posters and additional clues from the set, it seems that this scene may be set in the 1970s. Loki and the TVA traveled to various points in time during the course of the first season, so it will be interesting to see what brings them here in season two.
