While it was previously reported that Dominique Thorne would make her MCU debut as Riri Williams in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it was unknown if it would be as Ironheart. But now, based on new promotional material for the film, it seems Williams Mark 1 armor will be featured.

Ironheart, aka Riri Williams, is a relatively newer character, first appearing in Invincible Iron Man #7 in 2016. She reverse-engineered Tony Stark’s armor and took on the mantle after he fell into a coma after a fight with Captain Marvel. Eventually, after Tony reclaimed the title of Iron Man, Riri took on the name Ironheart and became a member of the Champions.

As can be seen in the art above several sticker like designs are featured that have not only the name “Ironheart” but more specifically “Mark 1 armor”. Based on this it seems likely that fans can expect to see Thorne’s Williams suit up as Ironheart in the highly anticipated sequel.

The film features returning stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett. It is also set to feature the MCU debut of Thorne as Riri Williams, who will take on the identity of Ironheart.
