It was previously reported that Donnelly would be playing Nina Price, aka Vampire by Night. But now, this seems not to be the case. Cosmic Circus has reported on a number of Marvel Studios’ developments which leads us to believe this Elsa Bloodstone report is accurate. The character has appeared as a member of Marvel’s Midnight Sons and has a history with Werewolf by Night, given her past with the Legion of Monsters. Because this, it would make sense for her to debut in the special.
Donnelly is known chiefly for playing Zephyr Alexis Navine/Amelia True in HBO’s The Nevers. She also starred in Disney/Searchlight Pictures’s Tolkien where she played J.R.R. Tolkien’s mother, Mabel. Gael Garcia Bernal has recently starred in M. Night Shyamalan’s Old and will be starring in Niki Caro’s The Mother, co-starring Jennifer Lopez, Omari Hardwick, Joseph Fiennes, and Paul Raci.
