‘Secret Invasion’ Video Reveals New Info About Emilia Clarke’s Character

Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion is currently in production, which has offered fans a look at the set. One such fan captured footage of what looks to be a fight between Emilia Clarke’s character and an unknown foe.

As can be seen in the video below, Clarke’s character is being choked by an unknown individual. Said person is wearing a motion capture suit suggesting this could be a Skrull. Based on this, it seems that Clarke’s character may be working against them.

Previous rumors suggested that Clarke is playing Abigail Brand, a member of S.W.O.R.D. in the comics. But given the Skrulls are part of S.W.O.R.D. in the MCU, this could mean that the actress is playing a different character.

The series will reportedly run for six episodes on the Disney+ streaming service. Within the pages of Marvel Comics, Secret Invasion is a comic book crossover storyline that ran for a self-titled eight-issue limited series. The story follows a subversive, long-term invasion of Earth by the Skrulls. Written by Brian Michael Bendis, the series sees The Avengers teaming with The Fantastic Four and the X-Men, among others, to confront and end the threat of the Skrulls. However, in the MCU, the Skrulls are not as conniving as their comic book counterparts. Talos and Soren seemingly have a friendly partnership with Nick Fury. Additionally, a Skrull appears during the season finale of WandaVision to recruit Teyonah Parris‘ Monica Rambeau for an unknown assignment from Fury.
