‘One Piece’ Set Photos Reveal Updated Look For The Going Merry & More

With production underway on Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece, images from the set have begun to surface. New photos have revealed a look at an updated design for the Going Merry and Miss Love Duck.
As seen in the images below, there have been some slight changes to the ships’ designs. In regards to the Going Merry, the mouth of the vessel is open as opposed to it usually being shown as closed. And as for Miss Love Duck, it seems the head of the ship will be red rather than its original white coloring.

First published in 1997, One Piece is written and illustrated by Eichiro Oda. The series is still in print today and has spawned a massive media franchise, including an anime series that first aired in 1999, a number of films, and several video games. In 2021 One Piece became the best-selling manga series in history, with 490 million copies in circulation.
The series is set to star Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu Arata as Roronoa Zoro, Jacob Romero Gibbs as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. With production currently underway, it has not been announced when the show will debut on Netflix.
