Live-Action ‘Mega Man’ Movie Reportedly Coming To Netflix

Fans of Mega Man finally have an update on the status of the live-action film. The production company behind the project, Supermarché, revealed that the movie will be heading to Netflix.
The company is run by the film’s writers and directors, Henry Joost and Ariel Shulman. The group’s website revealed that the project is currently being developed for Chernin Entertainment and Netflix. The project was initially announced in 2017, but this is the first significant update on the film since 2020, when it was announced that Mattson Tomlin is rewriting the film’s script.

First released in 1987 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Mega Man went on to spawn over 50 games selling over 37 million units worldwide. The series follows a robot named Rock, who is upgraded with fighting gear and other abilities to take on the evil Dr. Wily as Mega Man.
